In the movie Ms. Marvel, we meet Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), a 16-year-old who grew up in New Jersey. Kamala is of Pakistani origin, she is a student and an amazing gamer. In her spare time, Kamala loves writing fanfics and has a very special fascination with superheroes, particularly Captain Marvel and the Avengers.
However, the young geek has faced problems fitting in at home and making friends at school, since few of the teenagers there have the same interests as her. But Kamala’s life takes a very drastic turn when she acquires superpowers.

The film shows a lot the issue of using technology (social networks) to make the story go faster. The movie is very fun, and the production has a teen theme.
The first episode makes cultural references through Bollywood movies, or some facts about actor Shah Rukh Khan. As for the soundtrack, it’s great and it was an excellent choice by Laura Karpman.
Verdict
With excellent visual and cultural elements, and a very light plot, the first episode of Ms. Marvel shows the enormous potential that the series has. If the script by Bisha Ali and Sana Amanat continues to follow the same path, it is possible that the series will become one of the best Marvel productions so far.
